Jewellery Repairs and Silversmithing
Through our workshop, we provide a multitude of jewellery repair services from necklace restringing, hand engraving and ring sizing through to general repairs and on to more complex stone sourcing and replacement, remounting and redesigning.
The scope of our services is such that we would like you to contact us for more information regarding any repairs or adjustments that you require. We provide no obligation estimates and will happily liaise with insurance companies where necessary.
A skill that always amazes our clients when they receive their finished articles. Hand engraving is really the only form of engraving for messages of endearment, congratulations or celebration that we use. The hand of the engraver can produce the most delicate detail involved in engraving a crest on a signet ring, to copying an individuals own hand writing for a totally unique piece of jewellery or silver ware.
With insurance companies getting tighter on claims, we have found it more important to be able to provide a thorough Valuation service for jewellery. Our valuer, Peter Jackson FIRV, FNAG, has 40 years experience in valuing jewellery at all levels. Having been honoured in the past as Valuer of The Year by the National Association of Goldsmiths, his reputation is greatly respected.
The fees for valuations are based on a simple sliding scale which we can email to you on request. Our valuations carry all the information regarding your items and include where possible stone sizes and colour/clarity, along with weights and measurements, and are supported by photographic images of each individual piece. It comes as a bound copy with a further copy for your records.
